Every Day Matters

Students with regular school attendance are more likely to succeed. Every day matters for every child. Everyone can help make this happen – schools, families and community members.

Attendance matters for students at all grade levels. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to read at grade level, and to build a strong foundation as they move from preschool and kindergarten to high school.

Stanfield Board of Directors Appreciation Month - January

Stanfield Community celebrates ‘School Board Recognition Month’

The Stanfield School District will join the other 196 school districts throughout Oregon to celebrate January as “School Board Recognition Month.”

Our school board members spend countless hours of unpaid time working to provide the best possible education for our students. They also serve as the corporate board of directors for one of our community’s largest employers. Celebrating School Board Recognition Month is one way to say thanks for all they do.

October Newsletter Article

It is beginning to look like fall around our campus as leaves are changing color and it is getting darker much earlier in the evening.  We are more than halfway through the first quarter, and that means that parent-teacher conferences are coming up.

Sale of Bond Reduces Community Tax Rate

In May 2019, voters approved a $14 million bond estimated to cost taxpayers $2.70 per $1,000 of Assessed Value.  Due to positive market conditions and timing in August, the district sold $12.7 million of bonds at a premium to receive the full $14 million to fund the projects.  Since the Stanfield community will only be paying taxes on $12.7 million instead of $14 million, the estimated tax rate is lowered to $2.49 per $1,000. This lower estimated rate is the same as the average paid on the previous bond!

Stanfield School District Student Nutrition Program 19-20

The free/reduced lunch applications are to be completed by every student's parent/guardian. Income eligibility changes every year. There is not a set number of students or monies that people draw from. Anyone who qualifies, will receive a free lunch. The State of Oregon has voted again to cover the reduced lunch costs, so even if you qualify for the "reduced" lunch, it will be a free meal.

Stanfield School District has once again voted to give every student, regardless of income, a free breakfast.

Strategic Planning Survey

Stanfield School District is about to embark on a Strategic Planning process.   The goal of this process is to identify the priorities, needs and direction for the district resulting in multi-year goals we can use to continuously improve.  We are asking  the Stanfield community to provide insight and guidance as we work toward a shared goal of  improving our district programs. Please take a moment to fill out this very short survey.
