February 5-9 is National School Counseling Week

Governor Kate Brown has signed a proclamation declaring this week as National School Counseling Week in the state of Oregon. The purpose of the week is to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors and how students are different as a result of their work. School counselors across the nation celebrate National School Counseling Week with the American School Counselor Association, and this is the perfect opportunity to shed light on their role and significance within the educational setting.

Division 22 Standards

Every year districts are required to report to their school board and then their communities regarding the district’s status for being in compliance with the Division 22 Standards as set by Oregon Administrative Rules.

These standards include many areas that affect the operation of our schools including the adoption of instructional materials and hours, diploma options, district curriculum in all subject areas, alternative programs and many other requirements.
