Norovirus is a serious gastrointestinal illness that causes inflammation of the stomach and/or intestines. This inflammation leads to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Norovirus is extremely contagious (easy to spread) from one person to another. Norovirus is not related to the flu (influenza), even though it is sometimes called the stomach flu. Anyone can get norovirus, and they can have the illness multiple times during their lifetime.
The Oregon Department of Education recently released their annual At-A-Glance School profiles, previously called State Report Cards, for all Oregon schools. These reports, called for by the 1999 state legislature, provide educators with an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about how local schools are performing.
ODE redesigned the school and district profiles in 2018, with input from parents and families who represent students and student groups who are historically underserved.
The Stanfield School District is incredibly grateful to the Wildhorse Foundation for their contribution of $5,000 toward the purchase of a digital scorer's table to be used in the Stanfield Secondary School gym. We are excited to be able to display student, sponsor and district information during games and events on the digital screens. We hope that the accessibility of the information enhances the spectator experience for our community and our guests. Go Tigers!
The Stanfield School District would like to congratulate the class of 2019! There are some very talented students who have made a huge impact on the community. Their success both inside and outside the classroom is well deserved. Thank you class of 2019 for making a difference!
Here's to your bright futures!
