At the end of the high school lunch period today, the administration at SSS received a report that a student made an off-hand threat of violence that referenced a weapon. The SSD campus utilized appropriate incident response protocols. The buildings were closed to visitors, and movement inside the schools was restricted to allow a swift investigation to take place. The threat was found to be unsubstantiated and the campus status was restored to normal within 25 minutes. We appreciate the actions of staff and are thankful that the threat was reported, a great example of "see something, say something." We take safety seriously and will continue to utilize our protocols to ensure the safety of students, staff and patrons on campus.
