We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the hard work and dedication our board members demonstrate. Our school board members spend countless hours of unpaid time working to provide the best possible education for our students. They also serve as the corporate board of directors for one of our community’s largest employers. Celebrating School Board Recognition Month is one way to say thanks for all they do. Even though we are making a special effort during January to show appreciation for our school board members, we recognize their contributions reflect a year-round effort on their part. They are dedicated individuals who are committed to improving student achievement and to fighting for the best for all of our students.

MLK Day
Lately, everywhere I go, people are asking, “When are we going to open up school?” It’s the most important question right now. The answer is: soon. We are doing some preliminary planning, but the final guidance update from the state will be released Jan. 19th, and we are waiting to find out how the changes in guidance affect our plans. Much clearer info will be coming out for students and parents the week of January 19th. In the meantime, teachers are calling all parents/guardians to survey them about reopening. Your feedback is incredibly valuable. We want to open. We are working to make it possible. We are getting closer every day. Stay tuned for important info about reopening the week of January 19th. Sincerely, Beth Burton, Superintendent
