We are so very proud of the hard working, dedicated staff at Stanfield School District. This year has been a particularly challenging year. Two of our employees rose to the top and were voted by staff and community members as our winners of the 2021 Crystal Apple "Excellence in Education" Awards, Clara Nichols and Lacey Sharp.
Clara Nichols works in the Food Service Department at Stanfield Secondary School and has worked in the district for 17 years. Clara's vision and leadership combined with her servant-heart and ability to solve problems make her a tremendous asset. She develops a sense of team unity through encouragement. During COVID, she created strategies to deliver quality food to the community via remote sites, bus delivery, and grab and go's. Most of all, Clara recognized that during Comprehensive Distance Learning, she and her coworkers were the students' connection to the schools and "her love for the children of Stanfield showed on her face and in her enthusiastic attitude."
Lacey Sharp is the Principal of Stanfield Elementary School and has worked eight years for the Stanfield School District. Through connecting with families, she creates a positive environment and builds a strong school community. During the pandemic, she visited families, delivered materials and offered resources to help ensure student success. Lacey is knowledgeable about curriculum and instructional strategies and is also compassionate, efficient and cooperative. "Lacey is a leader for our school and puts 110% of her heart and soul into everything she does for the students, families, staff and district."
The ceremony took place on May 10, 2021, at the Echo School District. If you would like to watch the video of the ceremony, you may do so on IMESD's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/watch...
Congratulations, again, Clara Nichols and Lacey Sharp!
