DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE PESTICIDE SPRAYING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO TUESDAY, JUNE 19,2018, DEPENDENT ON WEATHER CONDITIONS.
Integrated pest/weed management procedures such as inspections and monitoring are used to identify conditions contributing to pest/weed problems and to determine when to control pests/weeds. One or more control methods that would be used as a first response include sanitation, structural repair, and other nonchemical methods. If it is determined that nontoxic options are unreasonable or have been exhausted, the use of a pesticide may be utilized to control the pest problem.
This is a notice to inform you that a pesticide will be applied at the Stanfield School District grounds for control dandelions and clover. If unfavorable weather conditions or other extenuating circumstances arise, the intended pesticide application may have to be delayed or postponed to a later date. If the application cannot be made within 14 days of the original planned date, a new notice will be issued. We are planning to spray Thursday, June 14, 2018, beginning at 8:00am. (More information can be found on our Pesticide Application Notification Form.)
A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that contains information on the potential hazards (health, fire, reactivity and environmental) and how to work safely with the chemical product. You may view the MSDS the pesticide, Speed Zone.
The Office of Pesticide Programs of the United States Environmental Protection Agency has state: Where possible, persons who potentially are more sensitive, such as pregnant women and infants (less than two years old), should avoid any unnecessary pesticide exposure.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Stanfield School District Office at 541-449-8766.
