SSS Announcements for February 16
Academic Friday - There will be NO Academic Friday this week. Our technology department will be working on our network that day. Internet access will be limited. We will reschedule this week's Academic Friday.
Food in classrooms - Students, please be mindful of the expectations regarding food and drink in classrooms. Drinks other than water are not to be brought in to classrooms. We all need to do our best to keep our building as clean as possible.
Tennis & Track - If you are planning on going out for tennis this spring, please sign up in the office. Track sign ups are in the office as well.
New Scholarships - Two brand new scholarships have been added to the scholarship rack: the annual Clara Ramos Memorial Scholarship for senior girls of Hispanic heritage here at Stanfield Secondary, and the annual Alpha Epsilon Master Scholarship. Both are due to Mrs. Wright's office by April 19. Just added is another new scholarship application: The Youth Foundation Scholarship for all seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher. This scholarship is renewable all four years and is due on February 28.
11th Grade Field Trip - All juniors will be visiting the college and career fair at the SAGE Center on March 1st. Be sure to turn in your permission slip to Mrs. Wright as soon as possible. Remember to do a pre-arranged form the week of the field trip, and to dress professionally to the SAGE Center. See Mrs. Wright with any questions.
Advisory Meetings Next Week - Next week Tuesday, a rep from Washington State University - Tri-Cities will be here during advisory in the cafeteria. On Wednesday, a rep from the Blue Mountain Community Foundation scholarship program will be here during advisory in the cafeteria. Next week Thursday, National Honor Society will meet during advisory in the cafeteria.
Generation College Meeting - Our next Generation College meeting will be during advisory on Monday the 27th. See you there!
