SSS Announcements for April 11

Scholarship Deadlines This Week - Seniors: Don't forget that the following scholarships are due the end of this week: Hermiston Lions Club Scholarship, Sister Adele Scholarship, Umatilla County Reduce Underage Drinking Scholarship, Northeast Oregon Home Builders Scholarship, and the Umatilla-Morrow County Farm Bureau Scholarship.

Scholarships Due Next Week - Seniors - there are four scholarships coming due next week: The Don Peterson Memorial Scholarship and Stanfield Moose Lodge Scholarship are both due on Monday, April 17th. The Alpha Epsilon and Clara Ramos scholarships are both due on April 19th.

Volunteer Opportunity - Guardian Angel Homes is looking for volunteers. Mrs. Wright has applications if you are interested.

Oregon Private College Camp - Calling all juniors! As Mrs. Wright has shared with you, you have an awesome opportunity this summer to spend an all-expenses-paid week visiting some of Oregon's private colleges, learning more about and preparing for the college application process, and staying in the dorms at Willamette University. Applications for Oregon Private College Week Camp are online on the GEAR UP website, and also require that Mrs. Wright send in your transcript. The information is on the flyers from Mrs. Wright and posted around school. Please also see her for more info. The deadline to apply is April 14th!

Summer Job Opportunities - Looking for a summer job? Hermiston Foods is hiring for the season. Applications are available in the scholarship rack and in Mrs. Wright's office, and are due to the Employment Office by May 31st. Home Depot is also hiring, and Mrs. Wright has info if you are interested.

Stanfield Booster Club and Mid-Columbia Bus Company Scholarships - The annual Stanfield Booster Club scholarship application, and the annual Mid-Columbia Bus Company scholarship application, are both now available in the scholarship rack! There will be three $500 scholarships from the Booster Club and two $250 scholarships from Mid-Columbia Bus. Both applications are due the last week of April. Pick them up today!

Softball - The Softball girls will be released at 11:30 on Friday.

BMCC Student Ambassador Applications - Seniors attending BMCC: there are applications in the scholarship rack to be a BMCC Student Ambassador. This opportunity offers a 12-credit scholarship on top of any additional financial aid you receive. Applications are due by 5 PM on Friday.
