Achieve 300 Read to Succeeed Challenge

Release Date:
April 10, 2017

Stanfield Elementary School teamed up with Achieve 3000 and participated in the Read to Succeed challenge. It is proven that the more students read, the more their reading skills improve. To help our students do their best, Achieve3000® sponsored the contest. Mrs. Herron's reading class won and enjoyed a pizza party as a reward.

Each student completed at least eight multiple choice news activities from Monday, February 25, through Friday, March 22. Every time a student completed an activity, our class earned a point. For every score of 75%, the class earned two points. And for every score of 88% or higher, the class earned three points. The winning class is the qualifying class with the most points on average, per student. Mrs. Herron's reading class was the overall winner at Stanfield Elementary School. These students have made significant growth throughout the year.
