SSS Announcements for September 25

Generation College - Generation College - we will meet right after school today in the library. All high school students are welcome to join to learn more and share ideas for the year!

College Reps This Week - We have two college reps on campus this week: Eastern Oregon University will be here on Wednesday at 9 AM, and Corban University will be here on Thursday during advisory. A full list of upcoming college representatives is posted on the TV screens around school.

Generation College - Generation College will meet after school on Monday, September 25th, 3:30 PM in the library. If you didn't make it to our first lunch meeting, no worries - it is definitely not too late to join. All high school students are welcome and encouraged to come learn more about Generation College and start brainstorming ideas for this year!

ACT Registration Deadline - Seniors - Don't forget that the deadline to register for the October ACT is this Friday. See Mrs. Wright for a fee waiver or if you need any assistance signing up. Be sure to check the TV screens around campus for a list of the other fall SAT and ACT dates and deadlines.

Current Juniors - Juniors: During advisory on the 21st, there will be a presentation in the cafeteria about the LEDA Scholars Program, an awesome summer opportunity at Princeton University. If you are interested in learning more, please plan to stop by.

National Honor Society - National Honor Society will meet next week Wednesday, September 20th, during lunch in the library. See you all then!

Interested in a Healthcare Field? - Interested in a healthcare field? WSU Tri-Cities in Richland is hosting a Health Sciences Open House this coming Saturday, September 16th, from 9-noon on their campus. This is an opportunity to learn about healthcare programs and tour campus. Flyers are available in the scholarship rack. See Mrs. Wright if you need more info.

PDA'S - PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION​ – ​Students are limited to holding hands as a means of showing affection at Stanfield Secondary School.

6th grade volleyball - 6th grade volleyball forms can be turned in through September 12th. Please turn them into SSS office.

Beat the Odds Scholarship - Seniors - Tomorrow is the deadline for the Beat the Odds Scholarship. It is not too late to pick up the info from our Scholarship Rack!

SAT Registration Deadline - Seniors! Don't forget that Friday is the deadline to register for the October SAT. See Mrs. Wright if you need a fee waiver or any assistance with registration.

Generation College - Our first Generation College Club meeting of the year will be next week Wednesday, September 13th, during lunch in the library. Generation College is open to all high school students interested in learning more about options for after high school, and all are welcome to join!

6th grade volleyball - 6th grade volleyball- there will be a parent meeting for volleyball in grade school gym, September 6th at 6:15 pm.

Question of the week - Library: Stop by the library and answer the question of the week! At the end of the month there will be a drawing for a prize!
